"There's nothing like starting young!" - As a little boy I was with the Alpine Club on various youth camps in the mountains. These trips influenced my life very much -Only in a good way of course!
After things were a little quieter during my apprenticeship in a sports shop, I found myself infected with the climbing virus again and made numerous ascents in all disciplines. I don't see climbing just as a sport, but rather as a way of life! I decided to train as a mountain guide, making my hobby, my profession.
Now I can hijack other people into this magical world and share with them the beauty, and the majesty our mountains have to offer!
Mathias Leo is a fully Austrian qualified Mountain and Ski guide, mountain rescue team member, a member of the Avalanche Commission and industrial climber.
