Ice Climbing history has always been written in the valleys of Tyrol and Salzburg! Whether it be in the Tyrolean Pinnistal, Salzburg’s Gastein Valley or in the Felbertauern, there are countless frozen waterfalls just waiting for you!
Trip Suggestions – intermediate level (up WI4 +):
- Felber - Amertaler
- Renkfälle – Klassischer Renkfall /Classic Renkfall
- Zillertal – Rolle Eisfall / Ice fall roll
- Grünseefälle – Gläserne Madonna/ Glass Madonna
Trip Suggestions – demanding (bis WI6):
- Pinnistal – Männer ohne Nerven / Men without Nerves
- Sellrain – Hängende Gärten /The Hanging Gardens
- Gasteiner Tal - Mordor
Felbertauern – Rechter und linker Portalfall /Right and Left Doorway
Requirements:
- No fear of heights
- Surefootedness
- Ice climbing experience of Difficulty WI4 + (in follow)
- Good physical condition
